Motherhood is hard. This is one of the hardest jobs I have ever had, and I have been a very highly functioning adult until I had kids. It has made me slightly unhinged. Hello, you guys. My name’s Andrea. I am the founder of the Moms Unhinged Standup Comedy Show, and now I am super excited that we are a podcast.
We have 30 comedians all over the country, and we are going to talk about motherhood. What it’s like to be a woman in today’s society, being in relationships, parenting, divorce, dating, all the things that irritate us, having to raise our children while growing a business or going to work, or being a comedian.
We’re gonna talk about how we get started in comedy. We’re, we’re gonna talk about why there’s so much great material being moms. And how we’re using it in our comedy. So I wanna invite you to tune into our podcast. It’s gonna be so much fun. You guys. We have already been having a great time and, uh, we’d love to have you be a part of it.
Share your unhinged moments with us. We’d love to hear about it. We clearly need to laugh about this stuff. It is so much work, you know, and It’s so much more work than when we were growing up. I Mean, I’m sure parenting has always been hard, but I feel like it’s harder now. You know? We have to go to everything now.
My mom didn’t go to anything. She didn’t even know my sister was on the softball team for two years, you know, and we just have to know where our kids are all the time. It’s just, there’s just so many pressures being a parent. In today’s world, so let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about how challenging it is and what, what we can do to laugh about it, because that’s what relieves the pressure.
And if you guys didn’t know this. Laughing reduces your cortisol levels. I don’t know what you, I’ve got cortisol coming outta my ears, so we need to get together, have a good time, and we’d love to hear from you.
If you have been to one of our shows, we hope you tune in. If you haven’t been to one of our shows, this is your chance to get a little taste of what a mom’s unhinged show is like.
It’s a lot of fun, like I said, and thanks so much for listening.
